City’s municipal judge resigns

GLENWOOD CITY — There seems to be no end to the story about Glenwood City’s Municipal Court. At their regular monthly council meeting on November 16th the council voted 3-2 to abolish the office of the Municipal Court.

That would mean that the court would function until the end of April 2016. That is the time the elected Municipal Judge’s term would expire.

However, on Tuesday, November 17, Municipal Judge Carla Lingerfelt filed a letter of resignation with the City Clerk. This was before the regular session of the court was to be held that evening, so no court hearings were held.
