Does God make a difference? Yes, in every way!
When Jesus was crucified for our sins, we read, “And when they had fulfilled all that was written of Him, they took Him down from the tree, and laid Him in a sepulchre” (Acts 13:29). When someone is buried, that is the end of their life on earth, or so it would seem. However, in the case of Jesus we read, “But God raised Him from the dead” (Acts 13:30). That is a phenomenal truth! God the Father raised His Son from the dead. There is no greater truth in the Bible because His being raised from the dead is the basis of the believer’s spiritual life and future resurrection. The word “but” is such an important word. The world did all it could in putting the Lord Jesus to death, but there was no more they could do! God intervened and raised His Son from the dead. Our lives are often cluttered with difficult things, things we cannot fix or handle by ourselves. However, where God is, He can make the difference. He can change a hopeless situation into one of great hope. Yes, God makes a great difference. Believers know this now but all will someday know this for themselves.
