Heavy Rains sent local streams to near flood stage Monday afternoon. In the Glenwood City area almost three inches of rain fell and the effect of that much rain sends Tiffany Creek to the top of its banks.
Boyceville resident, Herb Dow, who tracks the area’s rain fall, informed this newspaper that he recorded some four inches of rain on Monday. Herb said that he has recorded 16.28 inches of rain this year through June. He noted that last year was very wet and said his rain gauges had measured some 27.21 inches of rain through June of 2014, which he said, “was very high.” More than seven inches of rain was recorded in the River Falls and Hudson area on Monday.
