Two injured in Town of Glenwood accident

TOWN OF GLENWOOD — Two people sustained injuries when the vehicle they were riding in rolled over late Monday evening, June 22 in the Town of Glenwood.

Logan Clark, 22, of Amery, the driver of the vehicle, and his passenger Emily Vogel, 15, of New Richmond both suffered injuries when their vehicle left the roadway and rolled several times coming to rest upright in the south ditch of 170th Avenue in the Town of Glenwood.

Apparently, Clark was traveling east on 170th Ave. when he lost control of the vehicle on the gravel surface, entered the south ditch just passed the driveway of the Dorothy Mitch residence, struck several trees and bushes which caused the vehicle to overturn before it came to rest upright  in the ditch about a quarter mile east of State Road 128.

Both Clark and Vogel were able to exit the vehicle through a broken window and make it back up to the roadway.

When the Glenwood City Ambulance and Fire Department arrived on the scene a short time later both victims were located in a passerby’s car.

Glenwood City EMS and fire personnel collared and back boarded Clark and Vogel and transported the pair to Westfields Hospital in New Richmond for treatment. The victims were treated for cuts, lacerations and possible head trauma.

A cause for the crash or related factors were not known at press time Tuesday (June 23) but deputies from the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office were on scene and are investigating the accident.
