Funeral Services are set for Saturday, June 6th for Glenwood City businessman, Leon A. Berenschot. Berenschot, 84, passed away on Monday at Glenhaven following a short illness.
Berenschot served on the city council, county board and was involved in many local organizations including the Community Club, Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce and American Legion.
Berenschot was an American Family Insurance agent in Glenwood City for 28 years. He also operated the Hillbilly Drive Inn and miniature golf course and was in partnership with his wife, Marie at Home Town Crafts and with his son, Lane in the local car wash.
Service will be from Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 6th at 11 a.m. with visitation at the church on Friday afternoon from 4 to 8. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.
