HUDSON — The St. Croix County Health Center Construction Ad-hoc Committee is pleased to announce the future of the St. Croix County Health Center has been secured. Today, the St. Croix Board of Supervisors in a 17 to 2 vote, approved the $20 million dollar bonding package which will provide for a new 50-bed skilled nursing facility, 10-bed dementia crisis unit and a 40-bed assisted living facility.
The St. Croix County Health Center has been in continuous operation since its founding in 1897. The current 50 bed health center is a 5 star facility as rated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. The Ad Hoc Health Center Construction Committee will now focus on furthering the building plans and move forward towards breaking ground. Community information sessions are being planned for the near future to give county resident an opportunity to ask questions and gain a better insight into the project.
