St. Croix Valley Genealogical Society will meet on April 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the River Falls Public Library in the main floor meeting room. Jennifer Fritzler will explain how to use the Memories and FamilyTree portions of FamilySearch.org.
Memories allows you to add stories, photos, documents, and more to your online family tree on FamilySearch. FamilyTree allows you to create your own family tree online and add to other trees when you have source citations to back up your research. The idea behind FamilyTree is for everyone to share their research by adding information to one family tree for a family line and thus, not have duplicates. If you haven’t used FamilySearch.org to research your family history, this presentation will be a good introduction to a very important part of the massive website. This meeting is open to the public. Contact Darcy at 715-425-9978 with questions.
