3D printer purchased at TCE with grant money
BOYCEVILLE — The mission of the Boyceville School District is to prepare students for the 21st century. To help student to this goal, a grant was submitted to the Community Foundation of Dunn County and Marilyn Fanetti. Together they awarded the district $7,000.
Authors of the grant, Andy Hamm and Steve Duerst, used the money to purchase a 3D printer and a classroom set of laptops for Tiffany Creek Elementary School. “With the growing use of on line software, such as Google Apps and 3D printing, we feel it is important for TCE students to begin exploring and using these powerful tools,” said Duerst. The 3D printer also gives TCE the ability to download and print artifacts from the ever growing libraries of digital replicas for use in the various subject areas.
