Tison performing with U-Northwestern Symphonic Band on Wisconsin Tour
ST. PAUL, MN — The University of Northwestern – St. Paul announces their spring tour to Wisconsin beginning March 5. Local students participating in the tour and related concerts include Grey Tison of Knapp, son of Matt and Tenaya Tison. Tison is a Sophomore majoring in Music Education and is a 2013 graduate of Baldwin-Woodville High School.
Tour locations and dates are as follows: Woodbury, Minn. – Thursday, March 5; Eau Claire, Wis. – Thursday and Friday, March 5 and 6; Grafton and New Berlin, Wis. – Sunday, March 8; Brookfield, Wis. – Monday, March 9; St. Paul, Minn. – Monday, March 16.
The UNW Symphonic Band, directed by John S. Herlihy, will be touring to cities in Minnesota and Wisconsin and perform a variety of concerts featuring classical and contemporary wind band repertoire, including Dave Brubeck: A Portrait in Time, Samuel Hazo’s Arabesque, Lux Aurumque by Eric Whitacre, and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Selections from Phantom of the Opera.
