SCVMGS to meet February 26

David C. Zlesak, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Horticulture at UW-River Falls will discuss lilies at the Thursday, February 26 Master Gardener meeting.

Now well known for his rose cultivars, Zlesak says lilies are a specialty since he  studied lilies for his PhD.  He will describe the different classes of lilies available as well as give some tips on general lily care.  He also will talk about a survey of Northern Adapted lilies.  Master Gardeners will also hear about the upcoming Garden U Spring Conference to be held at the Hudson House Grand Hotel in Hudson on March 21.

Master Gardener meetings have moved to the First Covenant Church, 1374 N Main in River Falls. Meetings start at 6:45 pm, with Zlesak speaking about 7:15.  The public is invited.
