We walk on behalf of the more than 5 million American’s living with Alzheimer’s disease and their over 15 million caregivers. We walk because the disease is increasing health care cost and crippling Medicare. We walk for future generations, so they may never know the devastation of Alzheimer’s.
In September hundreds of people in St. Croix/Pierce County joined the Alzheimer’s Association for their annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s in New Richmond. Due to the efforts of the St. Croix and Pierce County raised $48,162.75. The funds raised at the walk will enhance Alzheimer research and strengthen local care and support services for the thousands of families in our area who are living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. You can still donate to the cause, donations for the Walk can be submitted through December 31, 2014.
