Glenwood Area Historical Society book signing a success

Eleven of the thirty-two authors who contributed to the book, ‘Echoes of Our Past: The Way it Was,’ gathered at Glenhaven on November 7th and 8th to sign copies of the newest publication by the Glenwood Area Historical Society.

The long-awaited book is a compilation of sixty-seven stories about our area’s history and those who made it happen.  Joan Ludtke, President of the Historical Society, said, “It’s been a labor of love. We’ve dedicated it to our forefathers; they came to this place seeking opportunity and made possible the beautiful area we live in today.”

The 356-page book with 109 photos, maps and drawings is printed in an easy-to-read format. At $15 it makes a great Christmas gift for those of all ages.

The book is available for purchase at Norm’s Barber Shop and All That and More in Glenwood City and at This, That and Everything in Boyceville (11-4 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.)  You can also contact the Glenwood Area Historical Society on their Facebook page.  Shipping is available.
