United Methodist youth donate blankets to those in need

By Kelsie Hoitomt

In the month of October, youth members from the United Methodist Churches of Downing, Emerald and Glenwood City devoted their time to making fleece blankets for Project Linus.

Project Linus is a nationwide organization that collects blankets and distributes them to children who are in hospitals, shelters and social service agencies.

The youth members made their blankets through “Heaven’s Hands” and they will be shared within the Chippewa Valley area.

“Heaven’s Hands” was a two-part event the youth participated in last month. During the first part they enjoyed a pizza supper while they watched the movie “Heaven Is For Real”.
