Bulldog runners finish ninth on Durand course

DURAND — The Boyceville Bulldogs’ cross country teams competed in Durand last week and both placed ninth overall in their 5K races.

Freshman Shiann Wagner was out front for the Lady Bulldogs with a time of 23:35.8, which put her in 21st place out of 79 total participants.

First place went to Sidney Renelt of Lake City with a time of 21:07.9.

Running second for the team and 28th overall was Marissa Dormanen with a time of 24:01.5. Following her was Brooklyn Booth in 56th with a time of 26:47.4.

Brianna Foer was the fourth runner and 68th overall with a time of 28:56.6 and then it was Emma Harnisch in 74th (30:02.21) to round out the team.

Mitch Pustol ran a 19:44.7 to place 30th out of 94 runners in the boy’s race. First place went to Carl Kozlowski of Lake City with a time of 17:29.1.

A few spots down from Mitch was Max Engel in 37th with a time of 20:21.6. Then eight places from him was Jack Kapsner in 45th with a time of 20:45.1.

Kiel Anderson was in fourth for the team and 61st overall with a time of 21:20.6 and then it was Rian Corr (21:33.5) and Jerod Nelson (21:43.6) in 66th and 67th.

Caleb Hagen was the final Bulldog to cross the finish line and he ran a 22:12.9 for 74th place.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to be in New Richmond on Saturday morning for an invitational starting at 11:00 a.m.

They will then be at Amery on Tuesday, October 7 for a meet after school starting at 4:15 p.m.
