GLENWOOD CITY – The Glenwood Orchard located south of town will be hosting its first annual craft sale on Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. throughout the Rustic Lore weekend.
With the long winter and overly wet spring, the Orchard, which is the only one in St. Croix County, is just starting to open up as the apples are ripening about a week behind.
Over the weekend, the entire Orchard will be open for business with the Bake Shop ready for buyers to check out the apple chips, apple bars, pocket pies, etc.
There will also be a treasure hunt available for children with the new “fairy doors” being the hot item to find along the trail.
There will also be animals to see and pet as well as a wooden train to play on in the playground area.
However, aside from that, the main attraction of the weekend will be the craft sale going on inside the barns and throughout the property.
15 vendors will be at the Orchard selling a wide variety of “country” style items like rugs, mittens, canned foods and jams, garden tools/decorations, silverware art and wood work.
The Orchard officially opened on Labor Day and will be open for business on Thursdays-Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with 12 varieties of apples available throughout the early, mid and late seasons.
