St. Croix Casinos’ fifth annual school supply drive benefits area schools

Students in 18 northwestern Wisconsin school districts started out the new school year with extra school supplies thanks to the generosity of guests and employees of the three St. Croix Casinos.

From August 10 through 16, casino guests and employees donating at least two school supply items at any of the St. Croix Casinos—Danbury, Hertel or Turtle Lake—received $5 in Turtle Bucks slot play. Guests donating at least five items received $10 in slot play. Everyone donating also received an entry for drawings for five $100 Walmart gift cards held at Turtle Lake on August 19. During the seven-day drive, more than 5,000 guests and employees donated school supply items.

Liz Denniston, Patti Frie, Sanford Mosay and Judy Warmanen of St. Croix Casinos delivered school supplies to school districts in Barron, Burnett, Polk, St. Croix, Sawyer and Washburn counties on August 18, 19 and 20.
