The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources continues to pair old traditions with new technology with the launch of The Official Guide for Wisconsin State Parks and Forests mobile application and several updates to their website.
Mobile dnr.wi.gov
Be sure to check out their new mobile homepage along with the news, features, events calendar, and Warden Wire sections! To keep up with the latest in Wisconsin natural resources, subscribe to any or all of the news products while you are there.
Along with these recent updates, the DNR also now offers many mobile-friendly tools to help their customers find a lake, check current burning restrictions, search fish regulations and consumption advisories, and more to be announced and released soon.
A large portion of their site is now mobile friendly and there are more great mobile enhancements planned for their website in the near future. The DNR hopes these changes will provide a more convenient way for their growing number of mobile users to stay connected with the Wisconsin DNR.
DNR mobile apps
The DNR launched its second app, the Wisconsin State Parks and Forests Pocket Ranger®, on July 30. This interactive outdoor app is the ultimate guide to exploring Wisconsin’s state parks and forests.
This new addition is a great companion to the very successful Wisconsin Fishing, Hunting and Wildlife app released by the DNR last November.
Download both of these great apps by going to dnr.wi.gov, keyword “mobile apps.”
If you have ideas on how the DNR can do things better, please let them know through the help menu feedback link found on their mobile homepage or the feedback link on their main website.
