Be sure you have a supply of the medications you take before you travel, particularly if you are going overseas. The Association of Mature American Citizens suggests that you bring along enough to last you for the entire length of time you’ll be away and then some.
Take an extra two or three days’ worth with you, says AMAC, just in case you are delayed coming home.
Keep them with you and not in the luggage you may be checking during your trip or in your hotel room when you get there.
It’s also a good idea to make a list of your meds, and your dosages, in case you misplace your supply. And, be sure to get duplicate prescriptions from your doctor to ensure availability.
