St. Croix County 4-H Members Selected to Participate in Wisconsin State Fair

4-H Members enrolled in the Clothing, Knitting and Crocheting projects competed in the annual St. Croix County Clothing Review on Thursday, June 26 at the Agriculture Service and Education Center in Baldwin.  The Clothing Revue included 25 youth participants from Polk, Pierce and St. Croix Counties.  This year’s participants entered and modeled a total of 54 exhibits in the event.

Winners in the Cloverbud Division, grades 1-2, were Champion, Ava Zinck, North Country 4-H  and Reserve Champion, Jack Ryan, Pleasant Lake 4-H.  Champion in the Grade 3-5 Division was Addison Zinch, North Country 4-H and Reserve Champion was Maggie Brown, Rolling Hills.  The Champion for Grades 6-8 was Grace Myer, Roberts Ribbon Reapers and Reserve Champion was Lauren Hackner, Lone Pine 4-H.  Champion and Reserve Champion for Grades 9-12 were Ellen Lindquist, Sunnyside Shamrocks 4-H and Sloane MacSwain, Trail Blazers 4-H.  Overall Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion were Ellen Lindquist and Addison Zinck respectively.

The following four St. Croix County participants were selected to participate in the Style Revue at the Wisconsin State Fair August 2-4: Ellen Lindquist, Sunnyside Shamrocks; Sloan MacSwain, Trail Blazers; and Anne Frank,  Riverside 4-H Club, representing the Clothing Project and Catherine Schurtz, Forest Timberwolves, will represent the Knitting and Crocheting project.
