The property of Stan and Linda Larson has officially been taken over by baby toads.
The spring is when toads will find a patch of water and breed. The females will lay thousands of eggs and in just a week’s time, tadpoles will emerge.
The water along the ditch to the west side of the Larsons’ has become quite the breeding ground with all the excess rain.
The yard, the driveway, the patio and the garage are literally crawling or “jumping” with baby toads.
Stan said that last year something similar happened and that it typically lasted about two weeks and then they tapered off.
