Bulldogs finish conference season with game in Cadott

CADOTT — The Boyceville baseball team wrapped up their regular season of play with a game in Cadott last Friday, May 30 which ended in the Hornets winning 9-1.

The Hornets chugged their way to victory after scoring two runs in the first, one in the second, two in the third and then four in the fourth.

The Bulldogs scored their lone run in the fourth inning, which was by Nick Wathke.

As a team, the Bulldogs had 27 at bats with their one run and a total of five hits with no RBI’s listed.

The Bulldogs then played their first Regional game on Tuesday, June 3 in Colfax against the number four seeded Vikings. The Bulldogs were seeded fifth in their Division 3 bracket.

The winner of that contest goes on to play the number one seed, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, the following day (June 4).
