The Glenwood City baseball team played a pair of games last week against Pepin/Alma in a double-header on Thursday, May 15.
They were then scheduled to play at home on Monday against the Plum City Blue Devils, but the heavy rainfall cancelled that contest.

The double-header against the Eagles in Pepin did not end in the Toppers’ favor as they lost 11-1 and 10-4.
The one run scored in the 11-1 final came from Richard Croes in the sixth inning. He singled to first and then advanced his way to home base on walks.
The Eagles finished with the win after putting five runners across home in the first inning and then three in the second and a final three in the sixth.
In the second game, the Toppers put four runs across home plate with one in the third, one in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Jake Carlson scored the first run for the team on an RBI double by Jeff Kopacz. He then singled himself to first in the fifth inning and was hit home by Brennan Kessler in the fifth.
In the sixth, Mitch Hurtgen and Ray Arons both singled themselves to first base and eventually scored the Toppers final runs of the game. Nick Schone was credited for the RBI.
The Eagles won that contest after putting two runners across home in the first, then three in the third and a final five in the fourth.
Next, the Toppers are scheduled to host a double-header against Elmwood/Plum City on this Thursday, May 22 with the first game at 4:30 p.m.
The schedule then has them playing in Clayton on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
