Toppers suffer loss to Cardinals and Panthers

The Glenwood City baseball team has yet to capture a win so far this season after losing to Spring Valley in a double header last Friday, May 2. They hosted St. Croix Central on Monday night and lost 13-1 as well.

No stats were available at the time of publishing, but the games in Spring Valley ended in a loss of 1-18 and another of 3-11.

Against the Panthers, the Toppers’ lone run was scored by Richard Croes in the first inning after Jeff Kopacz and Blayze Wood helped push him around the bases.

The Toppers were back in action on Tuesday, May 6 with a road trip to Colfax. They are scheduled to play at home on Thursday against Elmwood with both games starting at 5:00 p.m.
