Glenhaven Happenings – 5-7-2014
Last week the activities included Catholic communion, church with Grace Baptist, exercises, manicures, baking club, church with United Methodist, the monthly birthday party and sing-a-long with Jane and Friends, bingo with St. John’s and arts and crafts.
This week on Monday the residents had a Cinco de Mayo themed social hour. On Tuesday there was church with Trinity Lutheran and Resident Council in the morning and the Heutmaker band came in at 6:30 p.m. On Thursday, May 8th there will be Student Council visits at 10:00 a.m. On Friday there will be a Mother’s Day Tea at 2:00 p.m. and starting at 2:30 p.m. there will be music entertainment by the Blue Sky Musicians. On Saturday, May 10th there will be music by Dale Martel at 2:00 p.m. Next week on Monday, May 12th the residents will start celebrating National Nursing Home Week. The theme is “Living the Aloha Spirit.” On Monday it will be pink day. On Tuesday, May 13th there will be church with Holy Cross at 10:30 a.m. and it will also be orange day. On Wednesday, May 14th there will be a limbo contest, hula hoop contest and also bingo and it will be yellow day. On Thursday, May 15th it will be red day and there will also be coconut bowling. On Friday, May 16th it will be Hawaiian Day. On Saturday, May 17th there will be music by Herb Nazer at 2:00 p.m.
