Bellringers hold monthly meeting

The Emerald Bellringers held their monthly meeting on October 13, 2013, at the Glenwood City Community Center.

The meeting was called to order by President Jenesa Klinger. The club decided to do bell ringing at Ormson’s on December 6th and 7th. They also decided to change the meeting time to 4 pm on the 2nd Sunday of each month. The club agreed to hold a food drive at the November 10th meeting and to donate $25 to the St. Croix shopping spree. The club also decided to donate a $25 gift card to the St. Croix Breeding Stock Committee.

After the meeting was adjourned, the club had their awards program. First, the new club officers were introduced. Wesley Franklin is the new president, Will Rosenow is the new vice-president, Tyler Franklin is the new secretary, Jacob Nadeau is the new treasurer, and Jabin Hojem is the new reporter. The County Cloverbud awards were awarded to Trenton McNamara, Eliza Voeltz, and Madalyne Booth. The County Explorer award went to Julia Wittmer. The 4th-7th grade awards went to Tyler Franklin for youth Leadership, Gavin Samp for Self Determined, Tom Rosenow for Ceramics, Jacob Nadeau for Crops, and Jabin Hojem for Dairy Showmanship. The 8th Grade and up awards went to Wesley Franklin for Landscaping, Maya Peterson for Houseplants, Kaitlin Konder for Dairy, Isabella Nadeau for Flowers, Megan Samens for Ceramics, Will Rosenow for Ceramics, Renita McCluskey and Shaina Nabbefeld for Graduate. The Club Family Award went to the Booth Family.

The next meeting is November 10th, 2013, at the Emerald Methodist Church. Remember to bring non-perishable food items.
