Branstad-Thompson wed Sept. 28, 2013

Erik Thompson and Anne Branstad were married September 28, 2013 at “On Twin Lakes” near Birchwood, Wisconsin.

 

 Anne is the daughter of Jim and Pat Branstad of St. James, MN. Erik is the son of Ralph and Carol Thompson, formerly of Glenwood City, WI. Sarah Martin officiated at the ceremony.

Anne was attended by Emily Donnelly, Rachel Horstmann and her bothers, Jeff Branstad and John Branstad. Erik was attended by David Freeburg, Mike Peterson, Ryan Hemmingson and his sisters, Kristin Brandt and Jennifer Hinker. Kennedy Brandt, Emerson and Madison Hinker and Lainey Branstad, nieces of the couple, were flower girls. Nick Dahlen and Mark Hickey were ushers. Music was provided by Micah Gorans, Peter Eliason, and Molly Graff.

Anne received a Bachelor’s degree from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and a Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. She is a speech pathologist in the St. Paul, Minnesota School System. Erik received a Bachelor’s degree from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota, and a Master’s degree from St. Mary’s University in Winona. He is a middle school Spanish teacher in Hopkins, Minnesota.

Erik and Anne live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They will honeymoon over the Christmas holidays in Germany.
