Emerald Horsin’ Around Days Oct. 18-20

EMERALD — This weekend marks the annual Horsin’ Around Days in Emerald, with activities  sponsored by Shotgun Suzie’s Saloon, Papa’s Bar and Grill, Dadds Detour, Emerald Tire, Emerald Green Landscaping, Cheryl’s Shear Magic Salon and Ma and Pa’s Corner Store.

 This Friday, October 18, the festivities will begin with a kids hayride at 6:00 p.m.; the adult hayride will take off at 10:00 p.m. Then there will be a movie in the park starting at 8:00 p.m.

For inside fun, Shotgun Suzie’s will have an open juke box, pool table and dart board.

Saturday’s day long events will begin at noon with the parade through town; kids games will be available following the parade.

The afternoon will feature a variety of activities for adults including tug-of-war, log saw and a bean bag tournament. That evening there will be music inside Shotgun Suzie’s.

Sunday will feature a tractor/car show in town from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The deadline for signing up is 10:30 a.m. Also that day will be an ongoing horseshoe tournament at Shotgun Suzie’s.
