Rockpile – 9-18-2013
First of all I need to retract a mistake from last week’s Tribune. I said the Religious Rockpile Readers last week were Bob and Jan Timm. It was supposed to be Bob and Jan Marko. Bob’s wife Jan was a Timm. (Sorry about that Markos!! It as one of those brain ….. well you know!!)
Just a reminder to our Wednesday Afternoon league, we will have a fun day next Wednesday Sept. 25 starting at noon. Looks like we’ll need a couple more bowlers! Any interested people who want to bowl on Wednesdays, please stop in or call.
The Sunday Nite Mixed league also will get underway this Sunday afternoon, cranking up at 5:00 p.m.
Our Men’s Senior league also gets underway this coming Thursday afternoon at 12:30

Joke of the Week – Minnesota Quarters Alert
Hang on to any of the new Minnesota quarters you may acquire. They may be worth MUCH MORE than 25 cents!
The US Mint announced today that it is recalling all of the Minnesota quarters that are part of its program featuring quarters from each state. This action is being taken after numerous reports that the new quarters will not work in parking meters, toll booths, vending machines, pay phones or any other coin-operated devices.
The problem lies in the unique makeup of the Minnesota quarter, which was designed by a couple of Norwegian specialists, Sven and Ole. Apparently the duct tape holding the two dimes and the nickel together keeps jamming up the machines.
