Aug. 27 Glenhaven Auxiliary Meeting

Our meeting was called to order by our President Bonnie on August 27th at 9:30 a.m. in the meeting room at Havenwood. Secretary and Treasurer’s reports were read and approved.

Our pie and ice cream social for Rustic Lore will be on Sunday, September 8th from 11:30 until gone. Karen S. and Linda S. are in charge. First group of workers from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. Second group 12:30 p.m. ‘til 2 p.m. or gone. Pie will be $2.00 per slice, plus extra for ice cream. Whole pies can be bought for $12.00. Coffee $1.00. Ice cream sandwiches will be made on September 3rd starting at 9:30 a.m. They will sell for $2.00.

Judy Knox will write a letter to the editor for Tribune to inform everyone about the auxiliary and what they do. Bonnie will make signs for ice cream social.

Ben DeGross appeared at our meeting to volunteer help for setting things up for the social.  Thanks, Ben.

Our next project is our Fall Luncheon on September 20th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. We have signed up to bring hot dish, salad or dessert. We are to help at the luncheon and clean up after. Posters should be out Sept. 12th or 13th.

Glenhaven needs volunteers to take residents to the Car Show on Sat., Sept. 7th.

On November 1st and 2nd we’ll be having our Harvest Coffee Social and Bake Sale. Auxiliary, please bring your homemade baked goods to sell.

Dave reported on the new building and told us the upper level would be coming soon. As I write this report it is coming along very well. Auxiliary is to furnish games and other things for each apt. Judy Knox, chairperson, others on the committee are Barb Nelson, Betty Jean Smith, Linda Sittlow, Linda Lindquist and Cindy Litzel.
