Swanson attends CESA Workshop
Summer vacation provides a great time for educators to learn something new for their classrooms in the fall. One hundred local educators did just that as they attended the 2013 Facilitating the Future workshop at Spooner High School in June 2013.
Connie Swanson from the Boyceville School District participated in Facilitating the Future 2013 with 99 other regional teachers, counselors, and principals. The workshop is sponsored by CESA #11, CESA #12 and WITC. There were nine learning communities focusing on a variety of themes: Building Bridges Between School and Work; Beginning Blackboard-V9.1; Advanced Blackboard-V9.1; Fundamentals of SolidWorks®; Wisconsin Comprehensive School Counseling Model; On Course (student study skills); New WI CTE Standards; Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)-Grades K-12; and CISCO IT.
The learning communities are taught by regional teachers from the K-12 system and from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. See photos and learn more at www.facilitatingthefuture.org
