5th Annual Countywide Senior Picnic

117 picnic-goers, volunteers and staff of the ADRC were present at the fifth Annual Senior Picnic on June 14th at the Roberts Park Building. The picnic menu sponsored by the Senior Center Coalition and catered by Ruth Hurtgen included barbecues, potato salad, fresh fruit, veggies & dip and ice cream. The 2013 Card Tournament champion team, Woodville was awarded its trophy and prize money award. The day was made complete with musical entertainment by C.C. and Squeeze of Deer Park.

Proceeds from the free will donation will go to the Senior Center Board Coalition to allow this non-profit to continue its effort to sponsor activities which promote the physical, emotional, and economic well-being of older adults and to encourage their participation in all aspects of community life.

Card Tournament Results: 1st Place – Woodville; 2nd Place – New Richmond; 3rd Place – Hammond/Roberts, Somerset; 4th Place Glenwood City; 5th Place – Baldwin; 6th Place – Amery; 7th Place – Deer Park; 8th Place – Hudson.
