Action taken on bleachers and lighting for GCHS projects

GLENWOOD CITY — Last Wednesday, May 8 a special board meeting was held in order to vote on items that pertain to the Capital Projects.

In attendance at the meeting were Dr. Charles Rasmussen, Judy Achterhof, Lori Klinger, Jon Mrdutt and Kevin Bonte.

Roughly an hour of discussion about potential options for track and field lighting, bleachers, press box and scoreboard took place with motions made on two items.

The first item approved was the purchase of the Light-Structure Green system from Musco Lighting for the football field as described in a quote dated on April 29, 2013 with installation of poles and light being provided by Musco at a total cost, including delivery, not to exceed $107,000.

The second item approved was the proposal from Park-n-Recreation Products for the Dant Clayton Bleacher and Press Box System as described in the May 8, 2013 communication from Dave Wagner at a cost to not exceed $108,000 delivered with the ability, if the administration chooses, to purchase a football goalpost not to exceed a cost of $6,000 delivered.
