Glenhaven Auxiliary holds April meeting

Our meeting was called to order by Bonnie on April 9th at 9:30 a.m. Secretary and Treasurer’s reports were read and approved. Treasurer Jean Booth remarked on the good job Dorothy Magnuson had done on the books and said, “She hoped she could do a good job”. Jean had paid for aviary and aquarium services, leaving our balance at $2,332.55. Bonnie thanked Dorothy for her twenty-some years as Treasurer. We all responded by applauding.

We decided on Mood Swing for the entertainment the day of the Care Tree Lighting 2013.

Dave reported on the new building and groundbreaking. He told the Auxiliary members they could work on games and etc. for each household of the new building. Ruth, Jean, Karen, Judy and Bonnie will serve on this committee.

The Sweetheart Dinner only served about 80 people.

The Spring Luncheon is coming up on April 26th 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We signed up to bring hot dishes, salad, or dessert.

Barb Nelson made a motion, seconded by Judy Knox to cancel the plant sale this year.

We’ll have a Pie and Ice Cream Social on June 26th from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Each member is to bring 2 homemade pies – no cream pies. Bonnie said, “We could furnish rides for the ice cream social, if necessary.”

Our Fall Luncheon will be on September 20th, 2013.

November 1st and 2nd we are planning our bake sale and Harvest Coffee Social.

The next meeting will be held on June 11th at 9:30 a.m. Dolly made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mary T. Motion carried and meeting adjourned.
