Encouragement for area teachers – Boyceville

The Alpha Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma recognized new teachers during Valentine’s Week.  Four teachers received a surprise Valentine with a $100 Gift Card to be used for classroom supplies or their own professional development.

The names of all new teachers in four school districts were added to the drawing and the four lucky names, by district, were drawn. The honored teacher from Boyceville is listed below:

Boyceville middle school teacher Diana Robinson teaches Middle School Reading and English. She taught sixth and seventh grade language arts for four years at Our Lady of the Lake in Ashland and middle school language arts at Drummond Middle School in Drummond. Robinson earned an Elementary Education degree from Northland College in Ashland. Originally from Butternut, she makes her home in Menomonie with her husband, Rob, and daughters, Breann, 19, and Rebecka, 16.

Sarah Jones from Elk Mound, Brianne Link from Colfax and Patti Burandt from Menomonie were also honored.

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is a professional honorary Society of women educators. The Society promotes professional and personal growth of its members and excellence in education.
