Tight match against Cadott

BOYCEVILLE — The Bulldog grapplers had their first home dual meet last Thursday night where they beat the Cadott Hornets by one point, 40-39.

[ememebr_protected] The first match started with heavy weights Brandon Windsor and Bo Amans who pinned Windsor in just over three minutes.

Austin Wolfe then wrestled Brandon Pederson and pinned him to put the Bulldogs on the score board.

The Hornets then went on a scoring streak with Alex Licht pinning Brock Swenson, Austin Najbrt pinned Sawyer Swenson and Sean Sonnentag won by a decision of 6-0 over James Lindo.

The Bulldogs quickly caught up and took the lead after Dylan Lamm pinned Tyler Gillett, Dominic Olson pinned Chris Goettl, Wyatt Hansen pinned Dylan Vitense, Bryor Hellmann pinned Bryan Helminski in 46 seconds and Logan McAbee-Thomas won by a major decision of 8-0 over Mitchell Johnson.

The Bulldogs then scored their final six points from Josh Cormican who won his match by a forfeit.

With the score at 40-21, the Hornets scored the final 18 points as Brayden Bowe pinned Alex Lovett, Jerad Danielson earned a forfeit at 195 lbs. and Devon Wendt pinned Jake Erickson.
