Glenwood City News – 11-21-2012

Velma Crosby, Helen Maes, Arlene Hill and Jane Dettmann were Thursday afternoon coffee guests of Karen Marlette. Welcome to the neighborhood Doug and Arlene.

Karen Marlette visited Sharon and Bert Lansing of Spring Valley Friday afternoon and enjoyed a Mexican supper.

What a spectacular day Nov. 15, 2012 was in Glenwood City!! Our “Topper” football team proved they were the “best” in Division 7 at Madison!! This Granny was so proud of “No. 5”, as well as the rest of the team.  Awesome!!  And the “Welcome Back” procession was delightful – a big “Thank You” to the Newtons for the delightful fireworks, what a cool idea. So many neat signs around town and many people up and down Oak Street and at the High School Gym as well. Thank You Toppers and your coaches for a job well done. God Bless You all.

Now it’s good luck to all of our deer hunters! Get well wishes are in order for Dolly Donovan, who was in the hospital with pneumonia – but is now home. Take care, Dolly!

Good grief, how time flies – it’s “Happy Thanksgiving” wishes to everyone. Enjoy!

Have fun shopping on “Black Friday,” whoever goes!! Get will wishes are also in order for Tommy Maes, having to have more surgery on the shoulder he hurt in a fall from this treestand deer hunting.
