Glenwood City News – 11-14-2011

Winter is here, it’s good to be in looking out. Leon and Marie Berenschot joined their family at Jake’s Supper Club on Saturday evening, where they celebrated Leon’s birthday, which was on November 11th. Birthday Blessings, Leon.

On Tuesday, Marie Berenschot went to Ellsworth to babysit her little grandson, Guthrie Hill.

It was so good to see you, Christa Logghe Walz, last Monday. Good thoughts of home.

Hope Dolly Donavon gets well soon and can get out of the hospital. Darlene Booth and Jean Best visited Dolly on Sunday.

On November 19th, Elsa Spaeth and my sister Eileen Mrdutt will add another candle to their birthday cakes. Birthday Blessings for your special day.

Another exciting week in Glenwood City – Friday, November 9, Eileen Mrdutt got a new grandson – Mike and Mary Hill of Chicago had a baby boy, Spencer Michael. Congratulations, Mom and Dad!

Of course everyone knows how exciting Saturday was – our wonderful Hilltopper Football Team won their game at Wausau 28-8 from Hilbert – what a great game! Our love and prayers are with you all as you play at Madison Thursday morning. The Best To You! Eileen thinks back to 1985, when Jon was a senior and he played in Madison and we won. This year she has a grandson, Nick Mrdutt, who is going to play at Madison. Life is good!  Enjoy it.

Sunday was another special day for the Mrdutt family. Eileen went to her grandson Nick’s confirmation at St. John’s Catholic Church. An important day in the lives of 11 young people. Of course, the Mrdutt family members went to Jon and Barbe’s for a lot of good food.

Thank you to all who worked, brought food, or came to eat at our Veteran’s day dinner Sunday at the Community Center, sponsored by the American Legion and Auxiliary. It’s a special day and much appreciated – again, thank you.

Thought For The Day
