Summer went by fast. Talked with Dolly Donovan, she told me her good friend Anna Drinkman Hayle of Farmington, MN had passed away. I send sympathy prayers to her brothers and sisters who are Fred and Larry Drinkman and her sisters Ruth Simonson, Eileen Eggen and Doris Berends. Comfort her family as they mourn.
Monday morning, bright and early, Dolly Donovan, Lucille Obermueller and Jeanne Van Dorn joined a group leaving on a bus tour to Door Co. They will return Thursday evening. They will have a great time.
Marie Berenschot never forgets, she comes to visit.
Shirley Stone joined many at the annual pig roast at the Cormicans this weekend. Many people and lots of good food.
Josephine Maes and Eleanor Heutmaker, Melinda Cossin and Alice Ghiloni of St. Paul, Nancy Barks of Lake City, Pam Steies and many more attended a wedding shower for Kristina Lapp and Bill Nadeau Saturday afternoon in Menomonie.
Roger Heutmaker, Galen Heutmaker, LaVon Banks, Yoshisko Shakel, Deb Phillips played the Polka Mass Sunday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Glenwood.
Velma and Les Crosby attended the house warming party at Matt and Jen Crosby’s rural New Richmond on Saturday night.
Corey Klatt, Velma and Les Crosby visited Ernie Severson on Sunday night.
Saturday was the day for the Glenwood Girls. Rick and Bonnie Moe Van Blaricom of Amery, Roger and Mary Amundson Kelm of Emerald, Loren and Nan Schmelling Olson of Oregon, Kay Rousar of Mpls. and Karen Koosmann DeSmith of Hammond, all met at The Westwind at River Falls for dinner and good visiting.
