The Hudson Area Library, in partnership with the St. Croix County Historical Society, will host a Community Scan Day on Saturday, November 3 and we still seeking additional volunteers for this event.
We will need a number of volunteers to help with greeting, scanning and processing items for the Scan Day event. This would include working at the event at the library on Saturday, November 3, and also attending volunteer training the evening before on Friday, November 2. The event will last from 10 a.m. to about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, and volunteers have the opportunity to work half or the entire time.
At the Community Scan Day, patrons and community members will be able to bring in old photos, documents and other historical items to be scanned or photographed, and then they’ll get scanned copies of all their items on CD. The library keeps a digital copy, which will be shared on the web as part of local history digital collection.
If you are interested in volunteering or have questions, please contact Christina Endres at cendres@hudsonpubliclibrary.org or 715-386-3101 ext 108. Thank you!
