At the Menomonie Holiday Classic this past weekend, the Colfax Dance Team had an excellent showing.
The dancers had a lot of fun with their sassy Jazz routine but know it will need more work to place. The dancers created their own choreography for these competition routines and the choreography for the Jazz routine was led by Shelby Tuschl and Haley Seston.
The dancers did an excellent job with their Division 5 Pom routine to an 80’s remix. The choreography for the Pom routine was led by Maddy Shipley, Haley Seston, and Kayla Scholfield. They earned a 5th place trophy competing against Division 4 schools. Prescott, Ellsworth and GET took 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively; all Division 4 schools. Colfax came in behind Cameron by only 2 points.
McKenna Yingst, Maddy Shipley and Kayla Scholfield competed with a Pom trio in the small school ensemble division and medaled in 2nd place.
Haley Seston and Katie Riley competed in the small school soloist division with Haley medaling in the top half of the division and Katie a great showing.
All the Vikings’ dancers did a great job this past weekend.
