MENOMONIE — One hundred people attended the 100th annual alumni meeting of the Dunn County School of Agriculture and Domestic Economy on Sunday, September 16th at the Moose Lodge.
Dunn County School of Agriculture and Domestic Economy, was commonly called Dunn County Aggie. It was a high school in Menomonie and had all the classes as the Menomonie High School, only the boys had to take agriculture classes and the girls had to take home economics.
Dunn County Aggie closed in 1957, but there are many loyal graduates that want to keep the annual alumni meeting going for as long as they can.
President Lois Sipple called the meeting to order. Marvin Olson, secretary and treasurer, gave his reports and they were approved as read. The roll call was next and list of graduates who passed away in the last year was read.

The honored classes were 1948, 1953 and 1958 (ones who would have graduated if the school had not closed).
Graduating in 1948 were Edith Cropp Miller, Bob Miller, Roy Cropp, and Marjorie Brehm Zeilinger.
Graduates from the class of 1953 were Jewel Lawson Creaser, Janice Wagner Overby, Gay Curtis Evenson, Marlene Williams Henderson, Arnold Henderson, June Donnelly Braford, Marvin Olson, Myron Christianson and LeRoy Moritz.
The 1958 group included Larraine Styer Sedahl, Frances Wagner Trainor, Doris McCelland Drinkman, and Connie Larrabee Bixby.
Linda Johnson and her son, Matt, prepared a delicious dinner. Next year’s reunion will be at the Moose Lodge on the third Sunday in September. Anyone who attended Aggie, but did not graduate is welcome to attend. You can contact Lois Sipple, Cal Christianson or Marvin Olson.
