GCHS/MS November Students of the Month

Glenwood City High/Middle School is proud to announce the November Students of the Month. Respect was the trait that was the focus for our November selection; this trait is a cornerstone of our school community and one that we are always looking to enhance in our daily interactions.  Students nominated are those who show a high regard for, and consideration of others, students and staff.  The two students recognized in November engage in behaviors that exemplify this ideal.

The November Student of the Month at Glenwood City High School was senior Jenesa Klinger.  In nominating Jenesa, Mr. Gaustad stated, “During my time with Jenesa I can speak of her character with high regard. Jenesa, speaks to me as a coach and teacher with very respectful manners.  Even when she may disagree with things, she does so in a manner that emulates respect.  What truly makes me more proud of her is how respectful she is with her teammates.  Jenesa, who is a talented athlete, speaks to her teammates in a tone that is very positive and respectful.”  Jenesa is the daughter of Dion and Lori Klinger.

The November Student of the Month at Glenwood City Middle School was eighth grader, Aivree Raasch.  Aivree was recognized by Mr. Gaustad.  Mr. Gaustad stated, “Aivree has demonstrated a great deal of respect to, not only me, but her classmates as well.  I have witnessed this year she is kind, patient and speaks to her classmates with a respectful tone. During class and COMPASS, Aivree works with and deals with a classmate that tends to frustrate his classmates; she talks with him and makes him feel a part of things. This sign of respect has not gone unnoticed either.  She does the same toward myself and other staff members.”  Aivree is the daughter of Chad Raasch and Jennifer and Patrick Anderson.

Students of the Month are rewarded by having a lunch provided for them and a friend as well as being issued a unique piece of Hilltopper apparel.  In addition, students are provided with preferential parking (for them or a family member) for all school events.

The staff at Glenwood City High/Middle School would also like to recognize the following students who were nominated for the November Student of the Month as well – Hadin DeSmith (Class of 2019 by Ms. Hierlmeier) and Libby Wagner (Class of 2024 by Ms. Hierlmeier).
