Colfax Free Fair yields dozens of champions
COLFAX — The Colfax Free Fair from June 23 through June 26 ended up with dozens of grand champions and reserve champions.
Here are the results form the Colfax Free Fair:
Arts & Crafts
Grand champions in the cultural arts division are as follows:
• Crops and Gardens: Hunter Rebak, 22ers 4-H.
• Foods and Food Preservation: Maria Heltne, Elk Meadow 4-H.
• Natural Science: Brooklyn Stehling, 22ers 4-H.
• Mechanical Science: Nate Polden, 22ers 4-H.

New Awards
New awards this year at the Colfax Free Fair were “rate of gain,” “carcass” and “total performance.”
The rate of gain award for beef went to Bryce Kragness.
The rate of gain award for swine went to Tiernee Knutson (first place); Hunter Rebak (second place) and Trinity Krueger (third place).
In the carcass division, first place for beef went to Bryce Kragness.
In the carcass division for swine, first place went to Katie Edwards; second place to Taylor Risler; and third place to Chris Scharlau.
As for the total performance, which was recognized for the first time with a traveling plaque, the beef award for total performance went to Bryce Kragness.
The total performance award for swine went to Chris Scharlau.
