Colfax-Bloomer wrestlers finish 2-1 at Cameron Invite

CAMERON — Led by several wrestlers who went undefeated for the night, the Colfax-Bloomer wrestling team defeated host Cameron 54-30, lost to Northwestern 48-32 and beat Unity 48-24 at the quadrangular meet Dec. 8.

Brady Simonson won all three of his matches at 145 pounds, pinning his Cameron opponent at 0:54, winning by a technical fall 19-4 against Northwestern and won a close 3-1 match against Unity. Cole Anderson-Olson competing at 182 pounds, won via a forfeit against Cameron, won with a pin at 0:55 against NW and took  even less time to pin his Unity opponent in 0:34.

Competing at 195 and 220 pounds, Brady Hedtke won with pins against Cameron in 3:43 and NW in 0:49 then took one of several forfeits by Unity and Cody Goettl at 106 and 113 pounds,  took all three matches with a fall at 1:13 against Cameron and a pair of forfeits, Jared Stoll, competed at 120 and 126 pounds and won on a pin at 2:51 against Cameron, took an 8-7 win over NW and a forfeit against Unity, while Dalton Schotter won on pins against Cameron in 2:34 and NW in 3:14 then took a forfeit against Unity.

Finishing with a record of 2-1 were Zack Arvold at 170 pounds, earning a pin at 1:03 against Cameron, losing 4-1 to NW then battling hard to win 6-3 over Unity, Collin Bungartz at 152 pounds started with a forfeit win, a fall over Unity in 0:30 and a loss by a pin against NW in 5:48 and Austin Summerfield at 160 pounds with a forfeit win against Cameron, a loss by a pin at 3:07 against NW then capped his night off with an awfully quick pin at 0:12 against Unity. Gabe Nauman lost all three of his matches by pins at 195 and 220 pounds.
