COLFAX — A 2003 graduate from Colfax High School has been reported missing from the Wisconsin Dells area.
According to a news release dated May 21, the Sauk County Sheriff’s Department was asked to conduct a welfare check in the Village of West Baraboo for 30-year-old Nicholas P. Moen on Monday, May 11.
Concerns for Moen’s welfare were raised after a disciplinary action at his workplace in the Village of Lake Delton, according to the sheriff’s department news release.
Attempts to locate and make contact with Nick Moen were unsuccessful on May 11, and sheriff’s department investigators believe he has not returned to his apartment since then.
Investigations at Moen’s residence revealed that he does not have his cell phone or other personal items that he would be expected to have if he were leaving for an extended period of time, according to the news release.
The last that Nick’s family heard from him was May 11.
According to the news release, Nick Moen is known to frequent the casinos near Lake Delton and Black River Falls and is described as having a gambling problem.
Nick is 5’8” tall, 150 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He may be driving a gray 1997 Toyota Camry four-door with the Wisconsin license plate number 967-FUD.

Moen was listed as a missing person on the Sauk County Crime Stoppers Facebook page on May 20.
Numerous people from the Colfax area and beyond have posted messages to the Crime Stoppers page to say that they are praying for Nick’s safe return home and in support of his family.
