Colfax golf teams concludes regular season
In the final conference meet of the season, the Colfax golf team finished sixth yet again in the 18 hole contest held at Pleasant Hills Golf Course in Hammond May 22.
After points from all nine of the conference meets were totaled, Colfax ended up last out of the six teams with 10 points. However, Trevor Seston accumulated enough points to be named to the Second Team All Conference team for the Vikings. Colfax will now travel to Luck for the regional meet May 27.
Glenwood City was declared the conference champion by winning all nine of the meets and had four of their players named First Team A-C.
Seston had the low round for Colfax with a 91 in the final meet, followed by a 98 from Trey Gullickson and a 130 by Trenton Anderson. Bryce Fransway ended with a 137 and Andrew Buckley finished with a 145. Nick Mrdutt won the meet with a 76 for the Hilltoppers.
“It was a bit windy for the meet, but Trevor had a good round,” coach Vince Ross said. “He had a good second half of the season for us and I am proud of this young team for staying positive and continuing to work on their game.”
