Colfax students compete in district solo/ensemble at Glenwood City
GLENWOOD CITY — More than a dozen Colfax High School students competed in the district solo and ensemble event at Glenwood City High School on February 10.
Earning starred-first ratings and advancing to state competition were Heidi Lieffort (two vocal solos); Abbie Greenwell (two vocal solos); Natalie Dworak (vocal solo); Georgette Wendt (two vocal solos); Equality Wilson and Katy Toycen (saxophone duet); Katy Toycen (saxophone solo); Lydia Almquist (flute solo); Andrew Buckley and Heidi Lieffort (vocal duet); Jordon Johnson and Natalie Dworak (vocal duet); Mixed Vocal Ensemble (Lieffort, Greenwell, Dworak, Wendt).
Earning first ratings in class A were Andrew Buckley (two vocal solos); Chaela Lotts (vocal solo); Colfax High School Show Choir.
Earning second ratings in class A were Alex Hayes (vocal solo); Daniel Schneider (two vocal solos).
Earning third ratings in class A was Bayli Vacho (marimba solo)
Earning first ratings in class B was the Colfax High School Jazz Band
Students performing two vocal solos in Class A did traditional solos and music-theatre solos.
