5 candidates for 3 positions on Colfax Village Board

COLFAX —  Five candidates have filed nomination papers for three positions on the Colfax Village Board for the April 1 election.

As of the deadline on January 10, the following had filed nomination papers: Mark Halpin (incumbent); Rick Johnson (incumbent); Carey Davis; George Richards; and Jeremy Klukas.

The deadline for filing nomination papers was 5 p.m. January 7, but incumbent trustee Mike Buchner, who was appointed last April to a one-year term, turned in his notification of non-candidacy after the deadline on December 27, so the deadline was extended to 5 p.m. on Friday, January 10.

The Colfax Messenger will be publishing candidate profiles in February and March.
