Sand Creek Chatter – 1-1-2014

On Sat. Dec. 14, a bridal shower was held for Logan Lofthus, daughter of Mark Lofthus of Burnsville, MN. at Menomonie was hosted by Logan’s aunts. Present were Logan’s mother, Tammy, sister, Darby and all of her aunts and several cousins.

 Nancy Erickson was in a serious car accident on Monday morning, Dec. 16 near Hudson, WI when she was crushed between two semi’s. She was badly bruised but fortunately , she has no broken bones. she is presently located at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire in Room 504. Encouraging cards would be appreciated.

Lacey Loftus, daughter of Jerry and Becky Loftus graduated from Chippewa Technical College in Eau Claire on Tuesday evening, Dec. 17. She received honors in Business Management. Becky and Jerry Loftus, Roseann Rud and friend, Larry attended the graduation ceremony.

Rhonda Nelson had the family Christmas at her home for her children on Sat. Dec. 21st that included Jeanne Olson and family, David Olson and son and friend, Kayla Slayton and children, Wendy and T. J. Slayton and their girls and Rhonda’s friend, Kevin Hammitt.

Brad and Melissa Larson and daughter, Janica were Sat. Dec. 21st evening supper guests of Toby and Judy Horn.

Mary Knutson hosted a 1 p.m. luncheon on Sat. Dec. 21st at her home for Tom and Caryl Schoen, Glenn and Margie Anderson and Swanhild Rasmussen.

Doris and Herb Tallman drove to Cumberland on Dec. 19 to visit Doris’ sister, Dona Stanford who was hospitalized with a broken collarbone following a car accident.

Christmas Day service of New Hope Lutheran church will be 9 a.m. at the Pine Creek church and 10:30 a..m. at the Sand Creek church.
