Boyceville Cucumber Festival: A Tropickle Paradise August 16 to 18

BOYCEVILLE — The Boyceville Cucumber Festival — A Tropickle Paradise — will be held this weekend Friday, August 16, to Sunday, August 18.
Festival-long events will include the 22nd Annual Tractor Show on Main Street; a softball tournament; food vendors; a Vendors-R-Us vendor fair on Main Street; the Golden Pickle Contest and community wide thrift sales.
Golden Pickle rules will be posted on the Cucumber Festival’s Facebook page at 9 a.m. daily.
The Pickle Central Main Street tent will feature festival t-shirts and general information as well as a variety of events (see below).
The festival starts at 5 p.m. on Friday August 16, with Rock n’ Roll to Go plus Inflatables on Main Street from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Boyceville Ambulance corn feed — all you can eat — will be held on Main Street.
At 6 p.m. on Friday, the Kick-off Party starts at the Buck Shot Backyard.
Also at 6 p.m. on Friday will be the “Boyceville Ain’t No One Horse Town Parade” sponsored by the Boyceville Lions Club.
From 8 p.m. until midnight on Friday, Ranger Rudy & the Swinging Wingtips will be playing at the Main Street tent.
Saturday
Saturday the festival starts at 8:30 a.m. with the 23rd Annual Cucumber 5K/1 Mile Run/Walk beginning at Boyceville Middle School.
From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Bingo will be held in the Main Street tent.
From 11 a.m. until 7 p.m, the Boyceville Ambulance corn feed — all you can eat — will be held on Main Street.
From noon until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Rock n’ Roll to Go plus Inflatables will be on Main Street.
At noon, a bean bag tournament starts on Main Street sponsored by Buck-Shot.
At 2 p.m. Saturday, the pickle eating contest will be held in the Main Street tent.
Also at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Cucumber Crunch Demo Derby will be held at the Boyceville Community Fire District pulling track.
At 6 p.m., the tractor parade will be held on Main Street.
At also at 6 p.m., the hot air balloon launch will be held at the Boyceville airport, weather permitting.
At dusk will be the Hot Air Balloon Glow at the Boyceville airport, weather permitting.
From 8 p.m. until midnight on Saturday, Maiden Dixie will perform live music at the Main Street tent.
Sunday
From 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday will be the Boyceville airport pancake breakfast and candy drop sponsored by the Boyceville Booster Club.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, a pie and lunch social will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church.
At 11 a.m. Sunday, the candy drop will be at the Boyceville airport.
At 1 p.m. Sunday will be the grand parade led by Cucumber Festival Grand Marshals who are representing the Boyceville Ambulance Association.
Following the parade, the North of Dixie Band will provide live music at the Main Street tent.
There also will be a pedal tractor pull on Main Street and duck races at Tiffany Creek sponsored by the Class of 2025 and Boyceville Education Scholarship Trust (BEST).
